How did you climb it?

To pass it you climb out to the right and then up the slabs to the small tree (only bit of protection). Then climb down and traverse left around the corners and back in to the bed of the gully above the waterfall. Should be pretty easy in rock shoes but we did it in boots fot the original feel. We found the harder pitches are further up though where the rock is more slimy.

Steven Andrews is spot on. I would recommend belaying at first small tree though, the stretch up to first tree and then across to second with the slight down climb to reach the final bit of wall and gully bed created massive rope drag for me even with slings at full extension. This pitch is actually about VD-S and enjoyable, which makes a nice change. Agree with Steven, harder described (and not described) pitches in upper section await.
