Which works better?
I know probably neither is a 5* but I like the shot and I'm learning.

Well I definately prefer the version here; too much flat space for my taste on the other. It is a very nice shot. I might perhaps have been tempted to compose slightly to the right, just to avoid bisecting the lefthand boulder. Good angle of light for the stones, and really interesting foreground! Is that two people in the middle distance? Magic bit of light and reflected light amongst the boulders bottom middle-right.

Thanks for the input, I honestly wasn't thinking about anything like that when I took it, I just looked at the cairn and though it might look nice infront of the background in that light!
Those are people in the background though.
