This is Yosemite valley viewed from the four mile train up to glacier point, there was a lot of glare so i tweked the contrast a bit and got rid of the colour, which i think works well. All the locals and the camp 4 residents seemed sure this was the best place to climb in the world. I didnt agree, but could see why they thought that. El Cap is one of the most awe inspiring pieces of rock ive ever seen. However, i dont think i would swap it for Gogarth or Pembroke, or a perfect day in Scotland in Winter.

Yes, a shame for blown-out sky (I suggest taking 2 shots, one exposed for the background and one for the person and combining them in photoshop afterwards), but it makes me want to be there!

Aright Jay lad, hows things matey? il let you know if im in the south west at all, wont be for a while though, going away after xmas for another 4 months! hopefully get some more good shots. i need to get back on that cornish granite soon, i miss it so much. Hope alls good dude

Brilliant photo gallery. I think the "blown out" sky creates the dramatic impact of this shot. Sometimes perfect exposure = boring :-)
