Building on our long-standing support of the festival, the BMC is proud to present this year's Sheffield Adventure Film Festival (ShAFF) as we feel the event is the perfect embodiment of what we and our members love. As well as supporting the whole event this year we've got lots going on. Join us for: - The BMC sofa sessions with Niall Grimes: Join Niall as he plays host to mystery guests, BMC TV films the Bothy Project and Hard Rock, and an update to the 2016 BMC Mend Our Mountains campaign.
- BMC Climb night with David Lama: Red Bull athlete David Lama will headline ShAFF on the Friday night. A screening of his new film Annapurna III - Unclimbed (12mins) will be followed by an interview with David by acclaimed filmmaker Paul Diffley, before the floor is opened for a Q&A session.
- BMC TV Women in Adventure session: Judge Claire Carter will be joined by Jen Randall (Lightshed Pictures) and Elise Wicker (BBC) to discuss how to push forwards with adventure film. The winners of the BMC TV Women in Adventure film competition will also be announced in this session.
- BMC #SMASH Afterparty: Head to the Showroom Bar and get ready to #SMASH from 9pm onwards. Entry is free, and we'll be raising money for CAC.
- Grab a bragain on the BMC stand: Head to the BMC stand to get a discount on BMC guidebooks and clothing, and to pick up a copy of Summit magazine.
