Banff Mountain Film Festival UK Tour back and bigger than ever for 2017!

The Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour is gearing up for its seventh nationwide tour with the world's best new climbing and adventure films.

More than 1,000 people are expected at the European premiere at the Brighton Dome, which takes place on 25 January. Following the premiere, the Banff Tour then has 96 more stops at 55 locations across the UK and Ireland.

This year’s tour will feature teenage climbers Ashima Shiraishi and Kai Lightner, taking the sport to the next level on impressive climbs in Norway and Japan. And in Doing it Scared, Paul Pritchard tackles the Totem Pole in Tasmania, 18 years after a catastrophic accident on this extraordinary sea stack changed his life forever.

Other highlights include skiing the steepest lines in the Alps, rowing across the Atlantic Ocean, wingsuit flying and speed riding in Chamonix, mountain biking in Scotland and more – a total of 14 films spread across two different programmes.

There will also be loads of prizes and free giveaways at the screenings.
