Finlay Wild Sets New Ramsay Round Record
On 31st August Finlay Wild set a blistering new time of 14 hours 42 minutes 40 seconds on the Ramsay Round, breaking the previous record by a considerable distance.
In July 2019 Es Tresidder beat Jasmin Paris' 2016 record of 16:13, by just one minute (16:12). Wild has now managed to knock a full 1 hour 30 mins from that record for the classic 58-mile (92km) Scottish highland challenge, which takes in 24 major peaks including (among others) Ben Nevis, the Aonachs, Grey Corries and Mamores.
The Lochaber-based runner and GP, record holder for the Cuillin Ridge, Tranter's Round, the Welsh 3000s, and multiple times winner of the annual Ben Nevis Race, is reported to have run Ramsay's Round today solo and unsupported.
We hope to follow with a full interview when Finlay has had a chance to catch his breath.
