Outside Ltd is one of the UK’s premier specialist outdoor retailers and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual for the role of Web Content Assistant. The successful candidate will assist the Web Content Editor in creating website product listings for our eCommerce system, as well as any other online content and departmental admin support as required. The work will require a methodical, detail-oriented person, with a keen interest in the outdoor market. During busy periods you may be also required to assist with processing, packaging and despatching online orders and dealing with shop returns.


Responsibilities:
• Creating informative and engaging product descriptions for our eCommerce site.
• Uploading new products to our website.
• Compiling and editing written content for our website.
• Maintaining existing product listings and updating them as necessary.
• Proactively compiling product listings as new lines become available, ensuring that stock information is fully up to date.
• Supporting the Customer Services department with order processing, packing and customer enquiries during busy times.
• Supporting the web team in any other ad-hoc administrative duties as required.


Experience and Requirements:

Essential
• Excellent spelling, punctuation and grammar skills, together with the ability to write high quality, SEO driven product descriptions.
• Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy with data entry.
• Confident in the usage of standard Microsoft Office packages.
• Although formal typing qualifications aren't required the job role does involve a lot of typing so being able to type quickly and precisely is important.
• Ability to manage own time and prioritise responsibilities.
• Previous experience within an administrative or office based position.
• A keen interest in climbing and outdoor equipment.

Desired (but not essential):
• Experience managing web content through a Content Management System (CMS).
• Previous experience with a Magento Enterprise Platform.
• Experience using Adobe Photoshop or other photo editing software to process images.

Qualifications
• English writing skills are essential with a minimum of GCSE English language A to C or equivalent
