UKClimbing Limited is looking for a Front End Web Developer starting as soon as possible.

The job is a full-time, 1 year contract, that would be ideally suited to a BSc or MSc Computer Science/Software Engineering student either as a placement year or internship.

Daily activities will primarily be web development projects on UKClimbing.com and UKHillwalking.com working in co-operation with the current Web Developers. This opportunity will appeal to a candidate who is interested starting a career in web development in a small business and has a strong interest in climbing or hill walking. They will be able to work independently and be self-motivated.

Required Web skills

  • HTML, CSS & JavaScript
  • Responsive Web Design
  • Basic PHP
  • Leaflet JS Mapping

Non-essential but advantageous Web skills

  • MySQL databases
  • Twitter Bootstrap V3
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics API would be advantageous

Job Location

The job can mostly be done from home, or home office. The applicant must be based within the UK.

Equipment

An up-to-date computer is required with a [preferably fixed IP address] net connection. Software will be provided where needed.

£16,000
