Competitive rates of pay.

Yet another job advert on UKC with "competitive pay".

The company want you to spend time writing a cover letter explaining why they should employ you but aren't willing to tell you what they're willing to pay!

This practice only serves to minimise what they can pay you and should be called out at every opportunity.

Please stop letting employers advertise without a pay range UKC.

Hi Paul,

Thank you for looking into this.

I think it's a shame it will still be optional but progress is always welcome.

25 Mar, 2022

Absolutely, Cameron. And it's good to hear that UKC will begin to encourage employers to add the salary. I hope that employers will realise how poor it looks for them to be seen to act in this way. If their salaries truly are competitive, they should have the confidence to let them compete, by naming them.

Dear Rock Over

I am looking forward to visiting your climbing centre. Just so that you know, I expect excellence and in return I will pay a competitive entry fee. And no I won't tell you what that is until I have heard from you explaining why you think my experience will be excellent.
