Job Vacancy in the BMC access team  , Recruitment Premier Post, 2 weeks @ GBP 75pw We're currently looking for a policy officer (maternity cover) to work within our Access & Conservation team. The role will include working with MPs, peers and like-minded organisations to influence policy and promote the benefits of outdoor recreation.

The successful candidate will work on a broad range of issues affecting access to and the conservation of our crags, hills and mountains now and in the future. Issues such as climate change, hydro schemes, path erosion and the potential impact of Brexit. The role provides the opportunity to work with MPs, Peers and like-minded organisations to influence policy and promote the benefits of outdoor recreation on behalf of climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers.

The British Mountaineering Council is the national representative body for climbers, hill walkers and mountaineers in England and Wales. We are a member-based organisation with 82,000 members and growing!

Closing date for applications is 5pm on Tuesday 8 November 2016.

Interviews will take place at the BMC Office in Manchester on Friday 11 November 2016.
