GB Climbing is now taking steps to develop its elite coaching workforce, and will be recruiting several new full-time and part-time coaching roles.

GB Coach (England Talent)

Duration: 2-year full-time contract (may be extended subject to future funding)

Remuneration: Band B - £27,000 per annum, as well as excellent benefits  

Location: BMC Office, 177-179 Burton Road, West Didsbury, Manchester, M20 2BB and The Climbing Works, Unit E, Centenary Works, Little London Road, Sheffield S8 0UJ (GB Climbing current training environment)

The GB Coach (England Talent) will play an essential role in supporting the development of the GB Climbing Talent and Performance Pathway. Developing an inclusive and progressive England Climbing Talent Pathway that supports holistic athlete development and progression, aligned to our core values; Health, Performance and Respect.

We are looking for individuals with a growth mindset who are committed to their own development, who can actively demonstrate ownership and accountability of their journey and who aspire to become world leading climbing coaches.

GB Coach (England Regional Pathway) x3 vacancies

Duration: 2-year, 0.5 FTE contract (may be extended subject to future funding)

Remuneration: Band B - £25,000 per annum (pro-rata), as well as excellent benefits 

Location: Location to be discussed at interview. The three roles will be aligned to the geographic areas of South, West and East.

We are recruiting three GB Coaches (England Regional Pathway), on a 0.5 FTE basis to develop an inclusive and progressive England Climbing Talent Pathway that supports holistic athlete development and progression, aligned to our core values; Health, Performance and Respect. Playing an essential role in supporting the development of the England Talent Pathway, leading the planning and technical delivery for their region within the England Regional Squad programme through to providing arena coaching at agreed international competition with GB Junior Team over the international season.

BMC FUNdamentals of Climbing Course Providers

Duration: renewable 5-year contract for services

Remuneration: self employed

Location: We are recruiting self-employed providers to deliver courses in the following regions: London, South East England, South coast, East England, M4 corridor, Midlands, South Wales.

The BMC is seeking to expand its provider team across England and Wales for FUNdamentals 1 and 2 courses, with a view to those recruited providing FUNdamentals 3 and Physical Training 1 courses in the future. New providers are being recruited to deliver courses within the geographical areas listed above.

FUNdamentals 1 (movement), FUNdamentals 2 (technique), FUNdamentals 3 (developing technique) and Physical Training 1 and 2 provide coaches with a greater understanding of key movement and training principles, and how to coach them effectively.
 

The courses are designed for climbing coaches, instructors, teachers, parents and anyone wishing to develop their coaching of climbing movement, technique and training. The courses form part of the training pathway for Mountain Training's Coaching scheme.
