UKH Route Cards Back On Track

We are excited to announce that the UKH Route Cards are now back to full functionality. It has been a long wait, and a lot of work behind the scenes, but we think it's been worth the effort.

Thanks to the support of our brand new sponsor, Sprayway, we've been able to iron out the bugs to create a smoother user experience and a more attractive layout which is designed to be equally usable on a desktop, tablet or smartphone.

"We are delighted to have been able to support the UKH team in the redevelopment of this platform" says Duncan Machin, Sprayway's Marketing Manager.

"Getting everyone inspired and participating in the outdoors here in the UK is what we are all about and the UKH route cards library fits perfectly by giving end users of all abilities, free, simple to use access to a host of amazing routes across the UK.

"The platform is already a go to tool for us here at the office, from finding new routes and locations for kit testing, to personal adventures out with the kids over the weekends, and we are all looking forward to getting out using it in its new updated format."

With our new improved mapping you can toggle between map layers, view the route at a distance to get it in its wider context, and then zoom in smoothly to the Ordnance Survey's most detailed 1:25,000 scale for the nitty gritty on the ground.

Photos and intros provide all the inspiration you need to want to try a route, while from the detailed description and numbered waypoints to the elevation stats and additional information, all the necessary tools are at your fingertips.

Free to use, the Route Cards provide a best-of selection of walks, scrambles, runs and cycles in key hill areas across the UK. From short family rambles to overnight journeys, valley walks for bad weather to peak-bagging missions over entire ranges of summits, there's something for everyone. And at long last we'll now be adding regular new routes to our extensive library.

Go glad these are back up and running, particularly as they've now got the much needed OS mapping.

coincidently followed one of the route cards today - cheers

a nice touch would be to be able to add the summits from a routecard to your logbook in a oner  - (sorry, for being a tiny bit like "great-but...")

I don't think that'd be that hard to do tbh. I'll add it to the todo list.
