The Wild Lochaber festival kicks off this evening, bringing a week of events themed around the rich wildlife and spectacular landscapes of the 'Outdoor Capital of the UK', an area stretching from Glen Coe to Rum.
The attractions on offer include: wildlife-watching boat safaris to the Small Isles; deer spotting on Rum; guided sea kayaking and open canoeing trips; eagle watching on Loch Shiel; photography workshops; various guided walks; evening lectures and family-friendly bits and bobs.
