Wild land conservation charity the John Muir Trust (JMT) is looking for trustees from among its membership.

The Trust, which campaigns to protect wild land and owns several key sites including Quinag and parts of Ben Nevis , invites nominations from members wishing to serve on the Board of Trustees for three years from May 2012. Trustees are elected by the 10,000 JMT members, and run the Trust on their behalf. They are responsible for setting out policies and making strategic decisions. Members elect up to five trustees each year.

To be eligible you must be a JMT member aged over 18; your nomination form must be supported by five other members; and you must enclose a personal statement of up to 300 words.

The closing date for nominations is mid day 24 February.
