Parnell Success on Saf Minal in the Indian Garwhal

Ian Parnell (UK) and John Varco (US) made the first ascent of the North West face of Saf Minal (6911m) in the Indian Garwhal reaching the summit on the 5th October. Their ascent took several days, involving being trapped for a day and a half in a snow cave and two days on the descent.
