UKC/UKH have teamed up with the Outdoor Industries Association (OIA) as official partners of the 2020 UK Outdoor Industry Awards. Through a close working relationship we hope to bring awareness of the awards closer to the people who are going to be using the products. With active engagement and online voting through the website, it will ultimately be you - the user – whose vote will determine the winners in each of the 10 product categories.
Entries for the awards have just opened and the finalists in each category will be decided by a panel of industry judges at this years' Outdoor Trade Show (OTS). This year's judging panel will include retail buyers, journalists and gear testers from across the industry. The categories include:
- Accessories
- Backpacks
- Camping Equipment
- Climbing
- Clothing
- Digital Product
- Family
- Footwear
- Sleeping
- Tents
All entries in each category will be exhibited at the trade at OTS in July, then promoted to consumers at Kendal Mountain Festival in November in conjunction with UKClimbing.
Consumer voting will be available on both the UKC and OIA websites where you will be able to vote for your favourites and all products from the finalists will be on display at the Caravan, Camping and Motorhome Show at the NEC in Birmingham, which takes place in February 2020. The winners will then be announced at the OIA Conference & AGM in March 2020 and we'll be publishing a report shortly afterwards.
