© UKC Articles

You may well be familiar with EDELRID ropes and climbing hardware. What you may not know is that they have recently launched a comprehensive and affordable range of lighting that offers German craftsmanship and great performance for climbers, hill walkers, trail runners and wild campers alike.

The range comprises:

The Tauri (RRP: £55) – an extremely powerful, fully rechargeable (via supplied Micro USB cable) head torch that boasts an impressive 280 lumens, 120-meter beam and 200 hours maximum burn time. This is housed within a waterproof casing. The Tauri features an over-the-head stabilisation strap and power can be monitored using the integrated indicator, with a full charge taking just 3 hours to complete.

The Asteri (RRP: £45) – a robust option that utilises a rear-mounted battery pack, that can also be attached to a helmet without the headband – ideal for climbers. The adjustable diffuser allows for a speedy interchange between a focused or wide beam depending on the users requirements, and the controls are designed for easy operation when wearing gloves – making it perfect for winter.

The Cometalite (RRP: £35) – a lightweight, compact option with a 165 lumen output and a 60-meter beam it is more than capable of going the distance. The lock function prevents the torch from being accidentally turned on (preserving battery life) and the integrated indicator allows for on-the-fly power management.

The Novalite (RRP: £30) – a true featherweight at just 48g, the Novalite makes for a great ‘just in case head torch’ and is the ideal companion for those who find themselves caught out after dark. The beam distance of 60m and 35 hours burn time ensure it’ll always be there when you need it.

The Bodhi (RRP: £45) – the perfect campsite companion, weighing just 90g, it has three brightness settings that range from bright to mood lighting. The supplied karabiner allows it to be easily hung inside your tent, and the rear magnet attachment allows for a wider range of secure attachments.

Looks a bit like 1.3 because of the numbered 1, 2 and 3, I suppose.

Erm, it has been changed now. Before the answer on the page wasn't even in the 3 selections.
