The Berghaus Alpine 45 and 30 rucksacks have a classic Alpine shape, narrowing at the base. The 210D ripstop nylon fabric keeps the weight low, while providing great weather and abrasion resistance. Features on the packs include: Roll top closure for speedy access to essential kit; top strap for security and rope storage; adjustable elasticated front bungee; reflective finish on the pack; aluminium ice axe holder; side compression straps with side release opening for rope/ski carry; chest strap; hip belt with gear loops that can be wrapped around the front of the pack; zipped stash pocket on the lid; and tough YKK buckles that can be easily used with gloves. The spring steel frame (Alpine 45 only) is removable and the close-fitting low profile back system incorporates high density EVA foam which lies naturally with the curvature of the back, and also features on the shoulder straps.

The Alpine 45 weighs only 955g, but can be stripped to just 820g, and the Alpine 30 weighs 705g. The Alpine 45 retails at £110 and the Alpine 30 is £90.
