A new BBC Two documentary follows Boots and Beards, the Scots Asian hillwalking group organising walks to help people from ethnic minority backgrounds explore the outdoors.
Founders and cousins Naveed Baksh and Kashif Butt started out by arranging small local walks to bring their families closer together. Step by step, their project grew in scale as friends joined and spread the word to others about walking in nature for pleasure, fitness, mental health benefits and social interaction.
The documentary introduces members of the group whose lives have been transformed by walking as they take on Ben Nevis and celebrate their 100th walk on Loch Lomond's Conic Hill.
