This is the definitive New Years Day hangover cure, say organisers at the Truro Running Club, and promises to be a fun social event.

The run starts outside the Jamaica Inn, and follows a well signed route up to the top of Brown Willy and back. It's an informal event, not a race as such, and is open to all standards of runner.

The terrain is open moorland - wet, slippery, boggy or frozen, and it's steep in places. Come appropriately dressed for a freezing gale on the summit, the organisers advise.

The race kicks off at 11am.

There's no entry fee, but do register in the pub before the start.
