Based at the Loch Lomond Outdoor Centre, the six day course is offered at a discounted rate of £280 including food and accommodation. The course is run on a 1:6 ratio, with a maximum of 12 places available. It is due to run in two parts, 9th September - 11th September and 30th September - 2nd October.

This Mountain Leader Training Scotland (MLTS) award is aimed at club members who wish to lead hill-walking parties in mountainous terrain in summer conditions. Club members who are currently involved or keen to become involved in leading members of their club for days out in the hills are eligible to apply. Candidates must provide a letter from their club president or secretary proving their commitment to the club, and show a commitment towards using the training to benefit other club members.
