Khumbu DiariesFri Night Vid

This week's Friday Night Video is from photographer Alexandre Buise.

Alexandre introduces his video:

"It's a short chronicle of a month long expedition to the Khumbu region of Nepal, around Everest.

Run by Jagged Globe, it involved much trekking (most of which shared with Everest Base Camp itineraries) and climbing attempts on three peaks around 6000m, Pokalde, Island Peak (Imja Tse) and Lobuje East, with successful summits on the first two."

Yes, Island Peak can be a bit ridiculous. We counted up to 70 people going up the same day than us. Thankfully, the other peaks, with perhaps the exception of Mera, are much less crowded - we saw one other climber on Pokalde and two on Lobuje East.
