UKC Contributor and general top bloke Tom Hutton has just won an award from the Outdoor Writers and Photographers Guild (OWPG).

His article Pining for the Fjords, published back in February in Adventure Travel magazine, scooped the 2009 award for excellence in the Words & Pictures category.

Tom described his winning feature:

"The feature was titled 'Pining for the Fjords' and was an account of a week-long ski mountaineering trip based on a yacht in the Lyngen Alps."

Tom is a previous winner with the OWPG, having taken a prize in the photography category back in 2000.
