Not far behind is the Lakes.

North West Area Newsletter

Another amazing effort from the Black Pudding team. You want a party? That's in it. You want to clean up a crag that's better than Millstone? That's in it. You want to find out about where to get free chips and cake? That's in it. Download the newsletter here

Bird Restrictions 2008

The UK's birds will be scouting around for nest sites and raising their young. Please play your part towards conserving our feathery friends and stick to the BMC's agreed nesting restrictions.

The UK is widely recognised for the international importance of its wintering, migratory and nesting bird populations and the BMC's longstanding relations with the conservation bodies has ensured the restrictions are as minimal as possible.

Keep an eye out for the 2008 restrictions poster at your local climbing wall and you can download it here

Birds-eye view of Gogarth

A team of climbers from Plas y Brenin, the National Mountain Centre, will be installing cameras today (22 February) on the cliff face at RSPB South Stack Nature Reserve, Anglesey, to give visitors close-up views of nesting birds. Read the detailed report here
