Cliffhanger: Climbing, Orienteering & Beer Festival

Coming up soon is Sheffield's Cliffhanger, the UK's largest outdoor outdoor-pursuits festival, covering a footprint of 90,000 square metres in Graves Park, in the South West corner of the city - Sheffield's biggest green space. The event will be taking place on Saturday, July 14th and Sunday the 15th and has been organised by Sheffield City Council and Matt Heason of Heason Events.

This event will expose thousands to the fun of different outdoor pursuits, including climbing.

One of the main events is the British Bouldering Championships. This event will see around 200 of Britain's top boulderers battle it out to decide the national champions for 2007; seniors on Saturday, juniors on Sunday and organised by the BMC

planetFear & South Yorkshire Orienteers have organised an orienteering Ultra Sprint. Based on a concept developed in Russia and France the races will start and finish into an intricate 'labyrinth' in full view of the commentary team and spectators. Members of the public will also be able to take part on the course, kids enter free, £2 for adults.
