Hinkes enters history books

Al Hinkes has become the first Briton to climb all 14 of the world's mountains over 8000m high. Less people globally have achieved this feat than have walked on the moon. Al summited the last of these 8000m peaks, Kanchenjunga, the world's 3rd highest mountain, on 30 May after a difficult ascent in deep snow. Al said "Getting back to base camp was one of the best feelings of my life. I sat down in my tent and thought I've finally done it!"
