Detailed description

1
SK1953585070 The walk starts with its steepest climb direct up Parkin Clough. The path is steep but easy to follow and opens out at the top with an easier section leading up to Win Hill summit.

2
SK1872085156 Win Hill is always a busy summit but with stunning 360-degree views over Ladybower, down the Dewrent Valley and towards the Hope Valley and Kinder beyond. From the top, head west and then northwest along the ridge.

3
SK1715486128 A long straight section shared with mountain bikers leads along past the trees before dropping down towards the end of the reservoir.

4
SK1623988710 Cross the A57 and go up towards Hagg Farm Outdoor Centre. Keep right though, and the road and then path zig-zag steeply up onto the ridge on the north of this arm of Ladybower. Follow the obvious track along the edge of the woods, then over Bridge-end Pasture.

5
SK1853987172 You will now most likely be on your own on more indistinct paths that lead across fields and down the board ridge towards Bamford Edge in the distance. At the farm, don't miss the right turn that leads across another field and down to the bridge.

6
SK1983286391 A busy section on the roadside leads back around the reservoir to the dam. Pick up a path here which drops down and closes the loop back at where you started.
