300m. Pleasant grade 2 scrambling up the dry gill bed. Interesting scrambling and scenary throughout. The gorge finishes with a large headwall. Tackled direct this gives a short pitch of diff climbing, where a rope and/or climbing shoes may well be appreciated. The crux is at the top so a fall would be nasty. Note: the scrambling can be continued for quite a long way after the Diff headwall (in wet or winter really best to take a short 10m rope and a bit of gear. The scramble continues under the footbridge where there are a few nice steps and a nifty pool traverse and on until the stream levels out where a very handy gate on the left provides escape without any fence hopping.
