230m, 7 pitches. Pitch 1. 40m, II/III. Start from Rakes Progress. Climb turfy ground aiming for two chimneys on the right hand side of the buttress. Belay below the left of these.
Pitch 2. 30m, 6. Climb into the bottom of the chimney but the exit up a groove on the left. This leads to a ledge which is followed for 10m across the front of the buttress to a belay overlooking the bottom pitch of Moss Ghyll.
Pitch 3. 30m, 5/6. Climb the walls and ledges above trending leftwards towards the right edge of the buttress. Below on a small ledge with a crevasse to the right.
Pitch 4. 15m, 6. Traverse horizontally left to a stance overlooking Moss Ghyll.
Pitch 5. 25m, 6. Pull into The groove above the belay and follow it to a belay on jammed blocks overlooking the bottom of Steep Ghyll.
Pitch 6. 30m, 6. Climb the short wall behind the belay, pull right around the bottom of the arête and then follow the groove which climbs up and leftwards across the front of the buttress.
Pitch 7. 50m, II. Climb the turfy and then blocky ground above to the top of the buttress.
