Rockfax Description
This easier variation is often damp. The main gully is like a very long ladder. From the lay-by, go up the path by the side of the drystone wall and, just below a cliff, cross a stile. Follow the track rightwards below the cliff. Pass a prominent slab and continue on to the bottom right edge of buttress.
1) Follow the path up the right side of the buttress and zig-zag up towards the deep gully.
2) Climb the gully to the top. The scrambling is easy but the rock is often wet and the final gully is long and exposed.
Continuation - Extend the scramble by carrying on up to Milestone Continuation. Left from here along a rampline leads to The North Ridge of Tryfan. © Rockfax

UKC Logbook Description
Grade 1/2. Climbs the gully to the right of the buttress. Overcome a high shelf (pile of stones at its base makes it easier) and go into the damp gully. Climb it on the left side; easy but quite sustained, to emerge at the top of the buttress.
