Rockfax Description
18m. A great route. From the left edge of the buttress traverse out right round the arete to reach a ledge above the roofs. Trend up and right, past another ledge to reach a shallow groove which leads to the top of the tower. A short Diff down-climb is the easiest way off the back. βeta: A fun route but the crux move is reachy and those with short arms may wish to consider a variation. A ground anchor for the belayer is a good idea as the stance is on steep ground which is covered in shallow soil and pine needles. The down climb on Jib Sail is tricky. There is gear left as an abseil anchor on a strong (but springy) branch at the top - it leads to a rather bouncy ab down. | ||
