There is a loose flake on pitch 6 of Giant's Crawl near the belay - extreme care is needed.

Seasonal Restrictions

Dates: 1 March to 30 June

Reason: Nesting Birds

Peregrines have been known to nest on the upper section of B Buttress, above Giants Crawl as well as C Buttress. The last time the birds were known to nest was 2014, but if visiting the crag early in the season please be aware that they could return and report to the BMC if birds are seen nesting.

Rockfax Description
A swerving line that links plenty of technical climbing in its three slightly disjointed pitches. Start below an open groove reached via a short scramble from the base of Easy Terrace.

1) 5a, 30m. Move up past a low bulge on its left, then take the open groove rightwards until a traverse right and down leads to large flakes on a ledge.
2) 5b, 18m. Move back left and climb the wall and corner to a difficult exit left. Belay on the Giant's Crawl ramp below a corner.
3) 5c, 35m. Take a thin crack in the left wall of the corner, then make a technical traverse left to a small perch on the arete. Now head up to a small overhang and pass it on its right. Finish up the easier wall to a grass ledge. © Rockfax

βeta: Abseil block after difficulties on Pitch 3 has good cord, sling and krabs on. Will be able to get back to bottom of route on 50m ropes.

βeta: FRCC wired guide has the P2/P3 belay marked wrong, it's immediately above the tough P2 corner. Description is correct. Also the ab point needs new tat and maillons if someone is feeling generous.

βeta: Low traverse on p3 possibly easier than the desperate dyno off slopers that Hester managed!

βeta: FRCC doesn’t show belay on giants crawl. Probably best way to do this is to link P1 and 2
