A delicate, easier route that is justifiably popular. Start below the big groove of Barbarian.
1) 10m. Scramble up to the tree below the slab as for the Barbarian approach.
2) 4b, 15m. Climb up and rightwards along a line of weakness that runs across the slab to a block at the right edge. Move round this to a tree belay at the base of the upper corner.
3) 4c, 30m. Climb the initial corner to a ledge then commit to its continuation to reach a sloping ledge below vegetation. Traverse right across the wall to groove and right again to a crack which leads to the top. © Rockfax
