Brent Tor (not to be confused with the nearby village of the same name) is a local landmark, an outcrop of volcanic rock rising to 1100 feet (330 m). On the top is the 12th century church of St Mchael de Rupe. The rock is heavily featured with many sharp edges but somewhat brittle.
Park at the car park opposite on the road that links Lydford to Tavistock. Cross the road, enter the gate and follow the main path towards the Tor.
Google maps calls this "Brentor Church Car Park", hence the duplicate summit entry (for Brentor).
