600m. Be sure to read the winter route description. There are a number of 'false traverses' off left. Don't traverse left until it gets really steep on the great tower.

βeta: Struggled to find the start, scrambling an extra 100m elevation up into the gully passed echo wall before realising mistake. Eventually returned and found grassy ledges but think I may have skipped some climbing at the start. Only used climbing shoes for a short section at the mid way point. Upper section of route in clouds. Poor visibility and extremely high winds at tower gap made for an epic and not recommended experience. Summited Ben Nevis and took the safe and easy path down due to extreme winds. One off the bucket list!

βeta: Absolutely fantastic. Didn’t read too much about the route before going and we ended up doing two false traverses left, added 45 mins of faffing. Stay in the ridge until you see a dominant wall that isn’t a Diff! Then go left. Absolutely fantastic, good tat left in the gap.

βeta: We didn\'t use any gear for this - misty, damp august day. A fun exposure that can be done by anyone with a steady head.

βeta: No tat at Tower Gap currently and please keep it this way. There is no need for in-situ tat anywhere on the route at any time of year, if you find some can you please clear out the litter.
