βeta: Well we only did the rake bit of this after dinner time buttress, in perfect sunny weather and dry conditions for a week or so. Not a scramble to do in the damp. Mostly grass and scree often angled over death drops. That said solid type 2 fun on the day and the views in late spring with some large snow patches and huge rock architecture around were really amazing, Don't regret it but be prepared. Not really scrambling apart from the down climb of the rock ramp that is liberally covered in scree and is more of a shuffle than a scramble. We called it arduous traverse which is more fitting we feel. Still very enjoyable day. Solid mountaineering of a similar ilk to winter walking up to around grade I | βeta? | |
