About
Search over 5,300 hills worldwide. Users have contributed details of climbs, photos, hill location, access notes,
guidebooks, rock type, etc.
Using the search form
Name Can be any part of a hill name, ie edge
Type allows you to narrow down to only hill that are part of a grouping
Location Either type in an adddress (area/postcode/country/coordinates etc), or use the button to
use
your current location. You can then set the range using the slider. The search will automatically use the best matching
address
to the Weather you enter. To use a different location, click the "Change Location" button underneath the search button
Conditions allow for the weather conditions to be taken into account. hills that we don't have
weather data for will not be shown.
Visited hills Allows you to view hills that you (or one of you partners) that that person either has or hasn't visited
(using logged routes in logbook)
Using the map
hills are clustered together, and the individual pins will be shown once zoomed in enough. Hover over a marker for more info
on a hill, then click the hill name to open the hill.
Once you have searched, you can choose to only see hills that match the search criteria, using the checkbox below the map.
If there is no limit on location (ie 20km from Hathersage), it can be quite slow to load all the markers on the map
