A prominent, flat-topped peak visible from South Lake. Famous for the 4 alpine ice and snow couloirs on its North face and with a relatively short approach, Mount Thompson features stunning views of the Evolution group and Palisades from its 13,497' summit. An easy but exposed descent down the North Ridge (class 3) provides a quick way down off the peak.
