Mount Gardiner, located in the center of the Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Park, is one of the 33 designated 'Mountaineer Peaks' in the Sierra Nevada. It  is overshadowed by the more popular and technically more difficult Mount Clarence King that lies two miles to the northeast. But the class 4 knife edge traverse between Mount Gardiner's north and south summits is a classic route far more thrilling than the short 5.4 summit block of Mount Clarence King.

Volunteer to moderate Mount Gardiner
We rely on volunteers to moderate their local hills. You would check updates and approve scrambles/summits added to the database. It's a very easy job, and all you need is a guidebook and an hour or two each month. read more
