A pair of grassy chalk hills overlooking much of South Oxfordshire, with wooded clumps at the summits, historically known as the Sinodun Hills. Round Hill on the western side is the (slightly) higher of the two, and Castle Hill on the eastern side is an Iron Age hillfort.
Main carpark within meters of Castle Hill, although the approach up from the Thames at Little Wittenham may be preferred.
