The Tallistock from the south, on the Gross Muttenhorn west ridge © rlrs
The Tällistock is a fine viewpoint above the Furka pass. The highest point 2878m is not the designated summit rather the more northerly pt. 2860m which sports a large cairn. Both are reached most easily from the top car-park of the Furka pass. Follow the signposted track south and then west below the nose of the Mutt glacier and up to the Tällilucke. Head south up the ridge to a wegweiser on a hillock (but no more sign to Tällistock) and continue south on the path on the west side of the ridge. Then take the path branching left and ascending to the ridge. Turn left back east on the crest and with minimal scrambling difficulty reach pt. 2878. A short steepish downclimb is needed to continue to the designated summit, but probably not that hard.
