Hill features

This is a high crag for the area. With its NE aspect it holds snow well. You must go onto the summit ridge near to the summit before descending to the routes.
The guidebook description is confusing to say the least but the best landmark is the prominent right facing Lomond Corner 100m (IV,5) ** -roughly central once you have descended into the corrie.
The area of crags is impressive at first on 3 main buttresses c.100- 125m high. Opportunities for further new routing exist however there is a lack of defined lines to go at.
Check SMCJ for developments.

Approach notes

From Rowardennan car park follow the well marked tourist path through the forest up onto the South Ridge. Continue onto the summit ridge.
Do not attempt to traverse round to the corrie as this is both extremely dangerous and a total waste of time.
At a col shortly before the actual summit descend a steep snow slope (check snow/ cornice condition) into the corrie. (4.5 km, 2.5 hours).
