Hill features

Changtse is sometimes called the 'North Summit of Everest' allthough they are separated by the deep North Col saddle.

From North Col, Changtse rises almost 600m and thus by distance qualifies as a separate mountain. It can be climbed from the North but also directly from the North Col of Everest. The final part of the climbing is steep on partly rotten rock.

But when you get there the view of Everest is completely awesome.

Volunteer to moderate Changtse
We rely on volunteers to moderate their local hills. You would check updates and approve scrambles/summits added to the database. It's a very easy job, and all you need is a guidebook and an hour or two each month. read more
