The Fleischbank is, along with the Totenkirchl and the Predigstuhl, one of the three most important mountains for rock climbers in the Wilder Kaiser. Routes on the steep east face have made alpine history all the way from the Dülfer route (Hans Dülfer, 1912, VI) through the Pumprisse (Helmut Kiene and Reinhard Karl, 1977, VII) to Des Kaisers Neue Kleider (Stefan Glowacz 1994, X+). Meanwhile on the easier walls of the couloir separating the Fleischbank from the Totenkirchl the recently bolted Via Classica now attracts large numbers of lower grade climbers.
