White Tor is a lovely quiet spot with a fine outlook over the Dark Peak and beyond. Whilst there isn't much there, it is a good place to combine with a visit to another area. The rock is very good.
Park in the Cutthroat Bridge lay-by on the A57 Sheffield to Glossop road. It is a large lay-by, separated from the road by trees, and usually home to a tea wagon. The bridge from where the paths start is further down the hill. To get onto the moor, follow one of two well-marked paths onto the ridge from where the main bouldering spots can be clearly seen.
