Crag features

A crack climbing venue on Wedgnock Bridge over the Grand Union Canal that was discovered and development started during the Covid-19 pandemic. There are 10 cracks over the canal ranging 5.11+ to harder (thinner) crack projects.

The bridge spans 20m over the Grand Union Canal in the historic town of Warwick.  Discovered originally by Warwick University students during the Covid-19 lockdown, the bridge quickly gained attention by Tom Randall who established the first route Bassline.

There exist 9 more unclimbed cracks at the bridge.  The cracks are all horizontal good quality concrete and a perfect location to train crack climbing.

Approach notes

The bridge is a 2-minute walk from residential streets surrounding Cape Road where you can park.  Use common sense when parking, please park courteously.

Alternatively, use the canal towpath to walk or cycle to Wedgnock Lane Bridge.
