Access Banned
A major rock fall has occured - access to the lower tier, beyond Dawes of Perception slab is very restricted and has been fenced off to protect the public.
There is currently no access to the quarry and climbers should avoid it for the time being.
The quarry is within the Padarn Country Park, managed by Gwynedd Council.
Rockfax Description
Often tackled as a solo with the difficulty all below 12m! Be warned though - hitting the still water below is not soft! Abseil to the ledge on the edge of the wall. Climb the groove right of the arete and make a bold swing left to reach jugs. Move left to a crack which is followed to a ledge - crux. It is possible to escape right into Soap on a Rope from here. A diagonal line leads up and left to a mossy finish. Consider having a rope to pull yourself out if soloing this route. © Rockfax
