St. David's Head East covers the crags to the north of the Coastguard Edge. It includes the impressive face of Trwyn Llwyd and several rarely frequented beautiful cliffs with some amazing rock where other climbers are a rarity.If climbing on Penllechwen the best conditions are a late afternoon low tide and a sunny day. At the height of the heatwave we found the lower half of the big slab to be super greasy and scary. The VS corner was unclimbable until an hour after sun had been on it.
Approach notes
Cliffs can be approached from Whitesands car park or, more quickly, from the Youth Hostel below Carn Llidi. Approach times very between 15-30 mins.
Ask permission if you use the Youth Hostel parking.
