Tim resting after the crux of Scharnhorst © andymoin

Crag features

Small quarry providing some short (< 20m) decent climbs.
Dolerite of ok quality - but treat with caution.

Dries quickly - worth a visit if you've exhausted other Edinburgh crags.

Currently very overgrown, but there's a path cut to the base of Scharnhorst

Did Sharnhorst and The Boat last night. Both good and worthwhile routes that stayed surprisingly dry despite quite heavy rain. We left good ab tat and a biner on the (rusty) stake above The Boat. The nice homeowner above kindly invited us to nip over the fence and out through his garden, before a long walk back all the way through the village! If feeling public spirited, it'd be worth bringing some decent tat for the fence posts and leaving it above Sharnhorst. Other alternatives descents looked extremely grim gorse-bashing.

Tip- Dont wear shorts - everywhere is covered in nettles! Lots of broken glass at the base of the climbs aswell unfortunatly

Path cleared on 2nd of September to Dive dive dive, the boat and the the VS, which continues to Scharnhorst. Take the path just to the left side of the rope swing. We left tat at the top of Scharnhorst too and there was some old stuff that I used at the top of dive dive dive.
