Climbs 8
Rocktype Grit (quarried)
Altitude 239m a.s.l
Main Wall © elliotlukeb
A hidden underworld dismissed for many years. With greater height and even greater anonymity to the neighbouring Longwood Tower.
The rock on the main wall is solid but there is loose rock on the top outs – further inspection will determine the extent of this. A number of the crack lines have been led. Only worthwhile for the local climber seeking to develop lines for training purposes.
Further exploration on the slabs, arête & scoop in the main area is possible before turning to the higher, looser Scout wall.
Parking on Longwood Edge road, walk down Gilead Road and before reaching the Scout hut cross the road into the wood at the metal post.
No access issues but be respectful of the Scout hut.
There are no comments from visitors to this crag. |
